Service Crew
Service Crew is a service learning program during overnight camp that teaches high school girls new skills and provides leadership experience as they serve at camp. The program includes opportunities to serve both in the kitchen and on improvement projects around camp. Responsibilities in the kitchen include setting tables, washing dishes, and cleaning. Project responsibilities include minor construction, painting, and trail maintenance. After the duties are done, girls participate in the regular camp program and activities with other high school campers. Service Crew is a great way to build relationships and learn more about what it means to serve God and other people. All six weeks of camp are open to Service Crew participants. A limited number of spaces are available for each of the six weeks on a first come, first served basis. Campers may register for up to 3 consecutive weeks of Service Crew, after which they must either sign up for a regular week of camp or take a week off.
CILT (Campers in Leadership Training)
CILT is for high school girls during overnight camp who want to develop leadership skills and to grow in spiritual maturity. Girls must have completed grade 10 to start CILT 1. The two-summer program consists of five weeks (2 weeks the first summer and 3 weeks the second summer) of intensive training and discipleship. CILT 1 introduces campers to general leadership principles. Upon successful completion of CILT 1, girls may return at the beginning of the following summer for CILT 2. CILT 2 provides hands-on learning in the area of camp leadership each CILT chooses. Girls who successfully complete CILT 2, may be invited to stay at camp for the remainder of the summer. Girls who wish to participate in the CILT program must complete an application and be accepted into the program. Participants pay a fee for CILT 1 (equal to two weeks of camp), however, there is no fee for CILT 2 . Please note that no stayover fee is required for CILT participants.
CILT Program Dates for Summer 2012
- CILT 2: July 1-14 (Available to girls who have completed the CILT 1 program.)
- CILT 1: July 22-August 4 (Available to girls who have filled out an application and been accepted into the program.)
