New England Camp Cedarbrook is a place where girls find a summer “home away from home.” When they are at camp, girls feel special and find that New England Camp Cedarbrook is truly “their” camp. They learn that they matter to the people at camp—the counselors and the other campers—and also to God. They discover that God can see them and that He doesn’t care about their hairstyle or what kind of sneakers they are wearing. He cares about who they are on the inside. And that is what New England Camp Cedarbrook cares about, too.
At Camp Cedarbrook, girls can:
New England Camp Cedarbrook offers a unique summer camping program. We are the only all-girls, Christ-centered camp in New England. In a co-ed world, why is New England Camp Cedarbrook for girls only? Life is full of distractions, and our philosophy recognizes that for many girls, being with boys can be a distraction. Instead of concentrating on who she wants to become on the inside—her values, faith and character—a girl often focuses on what she looks like when there are boys around. In an all-female setting, girls are more likely to try new things, to ask tough questions about life and about themselves, to assume leadership roles, and to form strong relationships with one another. At Cedarbrook, we want each girl to discover her identity in Jesus Christ.
At Camp Cedarbrook, girls live in a small-group setting with other girls their age, along with one or two cabin counselors. Cabin size can range from five to 12 girls. Campers are assigned to cabins and activities according to these age divisions:
Voyager: finished grades 1 and 2
Pathfinder: finished grades 3 and 4
Trailblazer: finished grades 5 and 6
Shikari: finished grades 7 and 8
Explorer: finished grades 9-12
