I have so many wonderful camp memories - it is really my home away from home!! It is a place that I always felt loved and accepted. I remember getting butterflies as we would turn down the camp road!!

One of my favorite memories is when I was on staff during pre-camp. Chippy and Ryn and I planned a staff bonding/training experience where we woke up the staff around 4am, and for the next 2-3 hours, went on an adventure around camp - playing Balance the Broomstick, fishing shoes out of the swampwalk, swimming to the raft, and doing other fun stuff that bonded us as a group and taught how to be great staff. I miss those days!

I also remember re-creating Star Wars scenes and taping them with Explorers - I wonder if that video is around somewhere???

As a camper one of my favorite moments at camp is of a Shikari devos morphing into at least an hour long question night where my counselor patiently and tirelessly tried to answer so many questions that I and my cabin mates were wrestling with while we were all crammed into the tiny counselor room. As a counselor I now realize the sacrifice of time and energy that counselor made for us and I have loved doing the same thing for the girls in my cabin. The most important memories to me have always been when girls are asking question and seeking after the truth. I’ve gotten questions from campers ranging from “did aliens create God?” to “is my dead brother in heaven?” and I have not always had the answer but I have loved seeing the girls question and try to make their faith their own and I love when the truth of Jesus finally clicks in their eyes and in their lives.

I loved camp even though I wasn't often at camp. I was a tripper, backpacker mostly, and those were incredible experiences. Two counselors and a few other girls thrown into God's wilderness for a couple days. We grew close, shared some fun times, some scary times (prowling creatures of the night), and got to experience God's awe inspiring creation first hand.

Welcome back! We’re so glad you’re here to keep tabs on New England Camp Cedarbrook and see what we’re up to. In many ways, camp is still as you remember it. But we’re changing in fun ways, too. We hope you will let us know who you are, when you were involved at Cedarbrook (Cherith), what you are doing now, and how you might like to get re-involved at camp.

Send Your Daughter to Camp Cedarbrook

Has it been several years since you were a camper or staff member? Is it time to think about sending your own daughter (or granddaughter) to camp? This is a tradition worth continuing! The very same benefits you received from camp are still available here in Maine: being part of a caring community; making connections with other girls her age; meeting camp counselors who love Jesus and want to share His love with girls; fun, skill-building activities ranging from archery to sailing, from outdoor cooking to drama; small-group Bible studies led by cabin counselors; Morning Watch on the hillside; and so much more, including cookouts, swimming, friendships, star-gazing, singing after meals, laughter, and learning about God’s love.
